![]() But for a while i made it a point to have the noble only use sentences I'd heard other PC or NPCs use. It may soon become aware of what is happening, and recognize the opportunity it has been given. As more minds break, the shell's power grows cracks to the world widen, and the patron is loosed further into the mortal planes. The noble is still lost, but his shell has been found as a useful tool, breaking minds and sowing discord. But another adventurer-caliber individual found him one day and was intrigued by the noble's frightful aura, rather than scared. Had the man been left alone for the rest of his days, the patron may never have even known of the fellows existence. Many could feel the patrons influence as creativity or paranoia, just as they would feel similar influences from infernal or daemonic influences but the noble had read too far, and came to understood too much of his place in the world. The power of the patron, a being of chaos and madness, leaked through cracks in the sanity of all humanity like water through a dam. The unknown patron was not even aware that the noble had tapped into this power. He certainly could not know that these incessant ramblings, distantly overlapped with screams of terror and anger, haunted those within 60 ft (whatever the book says lol ) of him. The man was so lost to the world that he was not aware of the deranged, schizoid ramblings in his own mind. Through his travels, his first level warlock telepathy kept everyone away from him. Humanity shattered and memories lost, the fellow became an empty shell and wandered lost through world. ![]() Classy broh stumbles upon some greater truth from a larger-than-comprehensible, generically lovecraftian entity. Give it a few sessions, and if something clicks: great! Otherwise, enjoy the game. Take those life choices, extrapolate them into additional character traits, and use those to make future choices in the campaign. attribute your choices during the campaign to life events you come up with after the sesh (while you're daydreaming). My best advice for you would be generic / good for all classes You gotta make the characters arc for how you got to the start of the campaign, and you gotta make half of a new arc for why they care enough to do the adventures you're about to do For more information about Wizards of the Coast or any of Wizards' trademarks or other intellectual property, please visit their website at Warlocks have been my go to on various occasions, and that UA is a great source of inspiration!
